How to Measure for Shutter Blinds

For a front-of-recess fitting, measure the full width of the recess at the top, middle, and bottom, then use the smallest measurement.

For an inside-recess fitting, first measure far enough forward to clear any window handles. Then measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom of the recess, again using the smallest measurement.

If needed, it’s also a good idea to measure the drop in several places to make sure your shutters will fit neatly within the opening.
